At Coachwerks Wholefoods, our politics and ethics are at the heart of everything we do.
Coachwerks Wholefoods is run by EarthSea Workers’ Cooperative. As a workers’ co-op we are all equal, there are no bosses. We work collectively to run our shop, doing everything from decorating and building work, to choosing our stock. We’re also committed to cooperative principles and so work with fellow co-ops and stock their products where possible.
We carefully choose what we put on our shelves. We care about the environment. So we sell organic, vegetarian and vegan, natural foods, household and body care products.
Wholefoods – We believe good food should be affordable. We buy organic grains, pulses, nuts, seeds and dried fruits in bulk, at lower cost and pass this saving on to you, when you buy scoop and weigh wholefoods (including refills of oils, vinegars and soy sauce).
Eco-friendly products – we buy eco-friendly shampoos, conditioners, hand-washes, washing up and laundry liquid in bulk, at lower cost and pass this saving on to you, when you buy refills.
We care about our planet. We want to reduce waste and encourage recycling.
Scoop and weigh – if you bring your own containers, or recycled bags, we’ll give you a discount when you buy our scoop and weigh products.
Refills – bring a recycled bottle and we’ll refill it for you.
We care about our community. We are part of the group that collectively manages the Coachwerks and are involved in organising events for the local community. We are also making connections with local producers, suppliers, groups and organisations.
